Big Polished Malachite Specimen from The Democratic Republic of Congo, Haut-Katanga Province, Kolowezi District. Ethically mined by locals fair trade and polished by local Artisan Lunda Kabanga Germain in the city of Lubumbashi.

This amazing piece nicknamed "The Turtle Shell" was polished from a high quality piece of malachite that we took time to source before our Artisan friends in the Congo polished it resulting in this lovely artwork resembling a turtle shell. The unique style and quality of this art piece collector specimen is truly a sight to behold.

Malachite is a semi-precious stone with magical properties. Known to coincide with the Heart and Throat Chakras. It is an important protection stone. Due to its electrical charge from copper, it will remove and absorb negative energies.
